Role scope

The role develops features across application submodules, including requirements, prototyping, design, coding, testing, debugging, estimation, quality improvement, and deployment.

The engineer will design, develop, and manage automated unit and acceptance tests.

The role combines hands-on full-stack development with architecture and design leadership.

What you will do

  • Drive architecture and designs toward simpler, more robust, and more efficient solutions.
  • Define service descriptions and quality measures for reliable, self-healing services requiring minimal manual intervention.
  • Provide early visibility and mitigation for technical challenges.
  • Represent product and portfolio vision, functionality, and technical roadmaps internally and with strategic customers when needed.

Technical environment

  • Software technologies include Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, React Native, Gradle, Git, Hibernate, REST APIs, and OAuth.
  • The application architecture is scalable, resilient, event-driven, secure, and multi-tenant using microservices.
  • The cloud environment includes Microsoft Azure, ARM templates, AKS, HDInsight, Application Gateway, virtual networks, Event Hub, and Azure AD.
  • Additional technologies include Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, NoSQL, RDBMS, and GitHub.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in STEM, and 14 to 16 years of software development experience.
  • Full-stack ReactJS and hands-on enterprise Java development experience.
  • Experience designing, building, deploying, and maintaining enterprise cloud solutions in Azure.
  • Experience with cloud-scale microservices and event-driven architecture using Kafka, Spark, or similar technologies.
  • Hands-on development experience combined with architecture and design experience.
  • Experience with cloud-native architecture, distributed microservices, multi-tenant SaaS, scalability, performance, and high availability.
  • Experience with API management platforms and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and infrastructure automation.
  • Understanding of secure architectures, secure configuration, and identity management.

Preferred experience

  • Mobile application experience with React Native or native Android/iOS.
  • Experience with tools including Spring Boot, OAuth, REST, GraphQL, Hibernate, NoSQL, RDBMS, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and React.
