This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role focused on frontend applications and micro-frontend architectures.
The role reports to a Senior Staff Software Engineer.
The engineer will primarily use React.js and TypeScript and may contribute to Java backend services.
What You Will Do
- Develop and support scalable customer platforms and modern web applications.
- Build responsive, accessible, and maintainable React.js and TypeScript applications.
- Design micro-frontend architectures such as Module Federation and shared component systems.
- Own frontend state management, data fetching, caching, forms, and validation.
- Write unit and integration tests using tools such as Vitest and Testing Library.
- Integrate RESTful APIs documented through OpenAPI or Swagger.
- Work with Kafka event systems and relational databases to understand end-to-end data flow.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, cross-functional delivery, and CI/CD workflows.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, with the majority focused on frontend or UI development.
- Expert-level React.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling experience.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, integration patterns, and scalable application design.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern engineering workflows.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, collaboration, independent working, and mentoring skills.
- Familiarity with MySQL or PostgreSQL and Kafka is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI or LLM APIs and AI-assisted engineering tools is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot is good to have.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
