Cority seeks a Staff Software Engineer to design and enhance its base software and develop software with Product Development to meet client needs.

Responsibilities
- Drive technical and architectural decisions for product requirements and future needs; lead teams toward production-ready code.
- Design, develop, and enhance software for client systems and Cority’s base product; clarify requirements with Product Owners.
- Build high-quality software and advocate for automated testing, integration, and deployment; review designs, prototypes, and code.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and support team adoption; track sprint work and maintain team visibility.
- Provide support and maintenance; own functional areas or projects and break work into manageable stories.
- Mentor junior developers and learn or work with modern technologies as project needs require.
Qualifications
- A university degree in computer science or a related program is required; a suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
- At least 8 years of developer experience is required.
- Strong understanding of the software development process and lifecycle, and experience with Agile and Scrum, are required.
Technical qualifications
- Required: AI-assisted development tools; .NET Core and .NET Framework; Entity Framework or Dapper; Web APIs and microservices.
- Required: relational database application development with PostgreSQL or SQL Server; Node.js; Angular or React; HTML5; CSS; TypeScript; JavaScript; Python; CI and CD.
- Nice to have: LLMs, agentic frameworks, RAG, vector databases, MCP servers, MongoDB, AWS or Azure, multi-tenancy, message queues, and Docker.
- Communication, collaboration, curiosity, and experience working with remote teams are highlighted; occupational health, environment, ergonomics, or safety experience is an asset.
