The Staff Product Manager owns the AI Surfaces product area: the tools, applications, and environments where AI governance must operate.
Product strategy and outcomes
- Own the product area from longer-term direction through near-term delivery decisions.
- Prioritize outcomes and investment, define success measures, and be accountable for customer and business value.
- Develop a market perspective using customer input, competitor activity, and technology developments.
Customer and cross-functional work
- Engage existing customers and prospects through sales calls and proof-of-value work, including conversations with CISOs, CIOs, and their teams.
- Work with engineering, design, sales, and customer success to influence decisions across the business.
- Explore APIs, inspect data, and test ideas directly before committing engineering resources.
- Raise the standard of product framing, written work, and decision-making.
What the role requires
- Prior ownership of a substantial product area or connected set of problems, with responsibility for setting direction.
- Ability to make and defend decisions in a rapidly changing market and adjust course when evidence changes.
- Use customer, competitor, and technology signals to shape product direction.
- Comfort leading customer and prospect conversations and collaborating across functions without formal authority.
