Staff Product Manager - Developer Productivity

Role overview

Product strategy and discovery

• Own the vision, product requirements, and prioritized backlog for internal developer productivity and AI tooling.
• Interview engineers, managers, tech leads, and architects; map tools and friction points and baseline development-cycle metrics.
• Build rigorous, ROI-driven business cases and secure tooling budgets.

Tool evaluation and execution

• Make adopt, build, or pass decisions through structured evaluations of inner- and outer-loop tools against security and total-cost criteria.
• Evaluate tools such as coding agents, MCPs, build, CI/CD, and code review systems.
• Work with engineering leads to own the roadmap, define MVP scopes, manage sprints, and incrementally ship workflows; product owns strategy and requirements, while engineering owns technical execution.

Adoption and outcomes

• Own organization-wide adoption and clear security, legal, and privacy hurdles.
• Connect tool usage to engineering outcomes such as cycle time, quality, and toil reduction.
• Coordinate standardization across Okta and Auth0 and turn high-performing team practices into scalable playbooks.

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience with developer platforms, developer tools, cloud infrastructure, or AI products.
• Experience owning internal or platform products where adoption depends on product quality rather than mandate.
• Strong understanding of source control, IDEs, CI/CD, testing, code review, observability, and production operations.
• Current hands-on fluency with AI-assisted development, including coding agents, context management, MCP, and evaluation frameworks.
• Experience running technology evaluations and controlled experiments and defining developer productivity measurement systems.
• Credible technical and architectural communication, cross-functional influence, and excellent written communication.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience scaling developer tools across large, multi-organization engineering groups, including stack consolidation and change management.
• Familiarity with developer AI tools, harnesses, APIs, MCPs, agent orchestration frameworks, and developer productivity research such as DORA, SPACE, and DX Core 4.
• Experience with governance, evaluation frameworks, or spend management for rapidly evolving, consumption-priced technologies.

Work arrangements

• Must attend an in-person orientation on the first Tuesday of employment; Toronto-based employees attend in Toronto and Dublin-based employees attend in Dublin.
• Must work from the local office two days per week.
• Must work North American hours.

Annual base salary

• Canada annual base salary range: CAD 173,000–237,600; actual salary depends on skills, qualifications, and experience.
• Ireland annual base salary range: EUR 130,000–156,000.
