Staff Platform Engineer

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant ownership of platform infrastructure, deployment systems, or developer tooling.
• Staff-level impact through technical direction, cross-team influence, and delivery of complex systems from design through production.
• Strong programming skills in Go, Python, TypeScript, or a similar language, with experience designing and operating distributed, multi-tenant, or cloud-native systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Kubernetes, Terraform, containers, and CI/CD; and multi-cloud or customer-hosted deployments.
• Strong grounding in APIs, service boundaries, data stores, networking, identity and access management, secrets management, secure software delivery, and production observability.
• A track record of improving developer experience, deployment speed, platform adoption, or reliability; diagnosing live issues; and fixing recurring problems at the root.
• Strong system-design, technical-writing, and communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams and work hands-on from our San Francisco or New York office.
