Staff Network Performance Engineer

Workplace

• The role is based in Bangalore, India and requires onsite work three days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

• Implement KPIs and metrics for availability, latency, throughput, attach and registration success, paging, and satellite-link-specific counters.
• Configure KPI formulas, counters, and dashboards directly in the OSS platform with OSS and NetOps engineering.
• Design and execute validation tests in lab and pre-production environments before production rollout.
• Maintain definitions, thresholds, and data lineage as the network and OSS platform evolve.
• Identify observability gaps and propose, retire, or replace metrics as needed.

Requirements

• Bring 8 or more years of experience in telecom network performance, OSS/BSS, or network engineering.
• Have hands-on experience implementing and validating KPIs and metrics on an OSS or EMS platform.
• Understand 3GPP counters and KPIs across RAN and Core networks.
• Be able to design and execute rigorous validation test plans in lab and pre-production environments.
• Use SQL and a scripting language for data validation, with Python preferred.
• Have experience collaborating with NetOps, Network Implementation, and Test teams.
• Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred domain experience

• Experience with NB-IoT, NTN, or satellite networks is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with dashboarding and reporting tools such as Grafana is expected.
