The Staff DevOps Engineer will lead development and reliability of Terawatt’s charging network management platform.
The role scales cloud infrastructure and owns infrastructure for internal tools and the AI platform.
The position partners with the SVP of Technology, Product, AI product, and engineering teams.
Core responsibilities
- Set DevOps and platform engineering direction, mentor engineers, and establish infrastructure standards.
- Plan team goals aligned with business goals and the technology roadmap.
- Evolve scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform and maintain Helm charts and deployment patterns.
- Build GitHub Actions CI/CD tooling to enable engineering teams to manage application deployments.
- Improve stack security, detect vulnerabilities and anomalies, and automate SOC 2 controls.
- Secure AI and agentic systems against prompt injection, over-permissioned tools, and sensitive data exposure.
- Deploy, secure, observe, and scale agentic workflows across the company.
- Improve platform reliability, performance, and maintainability for charging infrastructure and software systems.
Requirements
- Experience leading DevOps and platform engineering direction and mentoring engineers.
- Experience architecting and scaling cloud infrastructure with Terraform.
- Experience with Helm charts and deployment patterns.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Experience improving security and automating SOC 2 controls.
- Ability to address security risks in AI and agentic systems, including prompt injection, excessive tool permissions, and sensitive data exposure.
