Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with product owners and tech leads to gather and refine requirements to create roadmap, execute and adapt the roadmap in the fast-paced environment.
- Contribute to Visa’s enterprise-wide risk platform that empowers employes to drive organizational and product improvements through collaborative idea sharing and working on the entire lifecycle from ideation to delivery.
- Participate in design and architecture creation, project planning, and reviews of design, code, and user experience.
- Have end-2-end ownership of features across design, coding, test automation, observability, reliability, performance, deployment, and operations while following standards and best practices.
- Respond to incidents during on-call rotations, troubleshoot complex issues, and assist in incident response and resolution.
- Continuously learn and bring new ideas to improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance.
- Use and integrate GenAI and agents in day-to-day activities across SDLC and devOps to improve ideation to production delivery cycle time and quality.
- Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in developing web-based applications.
- Experience in one or more of the high-level programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, Golang).
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB).
- Experience with using GenAI, copilots, and agentic software for improving agility, quality, and security in SDLC
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to provide technical leadership to other engineers to successful technical outcomes, ensuring sound engineering decisions that balance business needs along with engineering and operational excellence
- Strong product mindset and customer focus to contribute meaningfully to planning and collaborate with PMs and team leads to shape team vision.
- Proven experience architecting, building, deploying, and operating large scale, highly available, fault-tolerant, and elastic microservices in cloud-native environments.
- Proficiency in REST/GraphQL/gRPC API design, event-driven architectures, and message queues
- Experience in working with container-based technologies, and building enterprise-scale web services
- Experience in building AI-powered product capabilities is a plus

- For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $131,900.00 to $ 204,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
