  • Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory and facilitate transfers, item substitutions, distressed sales, donations, or disposals.
  • Source, vet, and maintain qualified outlets for distressed inventory.
  • Improve inventory, SLOB, hold-product, and customer-service KPIs, including gross and net inventory dollars, DIOH, and OTIF.

Reporting and data

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports showing inventory levels, aging, risk exposure, and performance indicators.
  • Maintain supply chain data in related systems through uploads, data feeds, reporting, cleansing, analytics, and data updates.
  • Use multiple internal data sources to produce accurate reports and dashboards for continuous improvement.

Risk and process improvement

  • Work with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Procurement to identify and mitigate inventory risks.
  • Identify problems early, advise leadership, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Set up inventory-related master data guidelines for new items; analyze trends, conduct root cause analysis, and suggest process improvements.
  • Support supply chain projects, including network optimization, and support food safety, quality standards, and product legality.

Education and experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, mathematics, computer science, business, or technology, or equivalent industry experience, is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, planning, materials, or a similar planning and inventory-control function.
  • APICS affiliation or certification is desired; proven success reducing and managing excess or obsolete inventory is required.

Technical qualifications

  • Experience validating data, data modeling, creating visualizations or dashboards, and using business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Understanding of planning and production control fundamentals, including MRP, inventory management, capacity planning, scheduling, and lean manufacturing; SAP is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of continuous-improvement or Six Sigma methods and strong project management skills in planning, execution, risk assessment, and issue resolution.

Additional qualifications

  • Able to engage teams in a rapidly changing environment and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Able to organize multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, adapt to change, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and quality-driven.

Compensation

  • For residents of listed states, the salary range is $85,000–$115,000 annually; pay depends on factors including local labor market, education, experience, and certifications.
  • Benefits, annual bonus eligibility, incentive and recognition programs, and 401(k) contributions are subject to eligibility requirements.
