Role and team

Technical leadership and platform engineering

• Define the technical vision for Kubernetes and cloud-native platform capabilities and lead architecture and strategic initiatives across engineering organizations.
• Design and evolve large-scale Kubernetes platforms, reusable platform services, operator frameworks, automation, and developer self-service capabilities.
• Drive platform standardization, governance, scalability, resilience, security, compliance, and operational excellence.

Software delivery and reliability

• Write and lead production software development; establish coding, testing, architecture review, design review, and code review standards.
• Build CI/CD frameworks, developer workflows, deployment automation, and release management solutions; improve software delivery maturity and developer experience.
• Drive observability, reliability engineering, incident analysis, root-cause investigations, security integration, and SRE practices.

Program leadership and mentorship

• Lead complex, organization-wide technical programs and cross-functional execution; manage risks and influence priorities, roadmaps, and delivery strategies.
• Mentor senior engineers and emerging technical leaders and foster technical excellence, innovation, learning, and ownership.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience and 8+ years building cloud-native, DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering solutions.
• Experience leading organization-wide technical initiatives and complex engineering programs.
• Expert proficiency in one or more of Go, Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript; extensive production distributed-systems experience.
• Enterprise-scale Kubernetes operations and hands-on development of Kubernetes operators, controllers, admission controllers, or custom platform extensions.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and related container technologies.
• Extensive CI/CD platform experience, such as GitHub Actions, GitHub Enterprise, ArgoCD, Flux, Jenkins, or equivalent.
• Strong Terraform and configuration-management experience, including tools such as Ansible; extensive Azure, AWS, and GCP experience.
• Strong understanding of modern SDLC practices and DevSecOps methodologies.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Internal Developer Platforms; Kubernetes networking, service meshes, ingress, gateway APIs, traffic management, and multi-cluster or multi-region environments.
• Experience with API gateways, edge routing, service-to-service communication, and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, New Relic, or Splunk.
• Hands-on security engineering experience, including policy enforcement, workload identity, secrets management, or zero-trust architectures.
• Experience leading platform transformations, cloud modernization, or engineering organizations of 100+ engineers; open-source contributions or cloud-native community participation.
