The engineer will build and maintain enterprise-scale data solutions integrated with applications, including reliable batch and real-time pipelines.

The position also covers backend services, APIs, distributed components, and cloud-native capabilities for the Ready product.

Data and backend engineering

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java backend services, APIs, distributed components, and cloud-native capabilities.
  • Build batch and streaming pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer.
  • Develop ETL/ELT frameworks for data from databases, APIs, files, messaging platforms, and other sources.
  • Apply object-oriented design, Java frameworks, concurrency, asynchronous processing, and performance engineering.
  • Design microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, event-driven workflows, integration patterns, and distributed components.
  • Optimize relational data models, BigQuery datasets, schemas, indexes, partitions, clusters, and query execution.

Technical ownership and operations

  • Own technical deliverables from architecture through implementation, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead design reviews and contribute to technology roadmaps, modernization, framework selection, and build-versus-buy decisions.
  • Ensure scalability, availability, reliability, security, data quality, maintainability, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement observability with logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerts, and tools such as OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, or Datadog.
  • Troubleshoot issues across application, database, pipeline, infrastructure, integration, and deployment layers.
  • Implement retry, checkpointing, reconciliation, backfill, replay, error handling, and disaster recovery.

Security and collaboration

  • Apply secure GCP practices involving IAM, service accounts, encryption, secrets management, authorization, and least-privilege access.
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, SRE, DevOps, QA, data teams, ML engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Mentor engineers, promote reusable patterns, use AI-assisted development responsibly, and influence technical quality across teams.

Candidate requirements

  • 12–15 years of overall experience.
  • Strong hands-on expertise building and maintaining enterprise-scale GCP data-engineering solutions and integrating them within applications.
  • Extensive experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting batch and real-time pipelines using GCP data services.
  • Good understanding of GCP services, security, monitoring, CI/CD, and production-support practices for reliable data platforms.
  • Ability to architect, design, develop, test, and maintain backend services, APIs, distributed components, and cloud-native capabilities.

Work arrangement

  • The posting specifies a hybrid work style and lists Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India as the location.
