Sr. Staff Cyber Intelligence Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Generate actionable intelligence and create and test signatures, queries, and analytics to detect threats using threat actor tactics, techniques, procedures, artifacts, and behaviors.
• Collect and process threat intelligence and maintain database content on threat actors, capabilities, and countermeasures.
• Deploy intelligence across the technology stack and support CIRT, Data Protection, and Product teams.
• Produce timely threat alerts and briefings and support incident detection and response.
• Automate repetitive tasks and promote continual improvement, engagement, execution, and accountability.
• Communicate business direction, strategy, and results to the team and GE leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a STEM major, or equivalent.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity and threat intelligence, or equivalent knowledge or experience.
• Desired experience includes SIEM, threat tactics, network security monitoring, host-based detection and incident response, cloud technologies, and scripting.
• Desired familiarity includes Kill Chain, Pyramid of Pain, and ATT&CK analytical models.
• Strong critical thinking, writing, presentation, prioritization, and stakeholder-management abilities.
• CISSP, CISM, related SANS certification, or relevant technical experience preferred.

Workplace

• This is a remote position.

Compensation

• U.S. pay range is $128,900–$214,900 per year, with possible geographic differentials.
• Eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
