Sr Staff Accountant - Small Parcel

• Responsible for certain Accounting and Finance functions for OpCo. Is able to analyze, explain and process improve within these functions. Possibly including, but not limited to, request for adjustment/customer credits (RFA’s), accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), inventory adjustments, payroll, or other financial impacting functions.

• Creates, analyzes, and interprets reporting for functional responsibilities.

• Leads complex projects, process development, training, and team development.

• Proactive evaluation of process improvement and efficiencies throughout their department.

• Prepares Journal Entries (JE’s).

• Assists with month-end analysis, review, reporting and financial results for OpCo.

• Oversees, supports, and/or backup for some administrative functions as needed. Possibly including, but not limited to, front desk, phones, scanning, tracking driver logs, administering driver bags (documentation, keys, checks, etc), scheduling maintenance, ordering/monitoring supplies, and other administrative functions.

• Meets with various departments, managers and leadership to discuss, interpret, and gather information to be able to perform their duties for this position.

• Ensures compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting deadlines within the scope of their position and assists with overall OpCo compliance.

• Assists with review of P&L, B/S and other various financial reports throughout the month.

• Works with management to ensure that functions within the scope for this position are Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliant.

• May need to cross-training, backfill and/or perform similar duties for other OpCo’s as needed by the business.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.
