Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with asynchronous processing technologies such as Kafka, Redis, or similar messaging and event-streaming platforms.
- Experience building highly available, scalable SaaS applications.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience using GitHub, GitHub Actions, and related development tooling.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar tools to enhance productivity and accelerate development workflows.
- Experience defining requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications that improve delivery quality and team alignment.

Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Critical Skills
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong experience building and maintaining production-grade applications in a collaborative team environment.
- 5+ years of experience with modern frontend technologies such as React, TypeScript, or similar frameworks.
- 5+ years of experience developing backend services using C# and.NET technologies.
- Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services.
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Experience implementing automated testing strategies and working with modern testing frameworks.
- Strong software design, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction and collaborate effectively across teams.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software solutions across frontend and backend systems.
- Lead the implementation of complex features and services within distributed, cloud-based architectures.
- Translate product and business requirements into thoughtful technical designs and implementation plans.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Drive engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, observability, security, and maintainability.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to fellow engineers.
- Identify technical risks early and help teams develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and help establish patterns that enable long-term platform scalability.
- Champion continuous improvement through refinement of development processes, tooling, and team practices.
- Mentor engineers through technical leadership, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging development tools and practices that improve engineering efficiency and product quality.
- Priority will be given to candidates who reside in the Columbus, OH Metropolitan area.
