Full-time, on-site Senior Solar PV Engineer role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The role covers solar PV system design and engineering, project coordination, technical evaluations, and support through project execution.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site assessments; size and lay out solar PV systems; prepare technical drawings and specifications.
- Review and optimize system performance, evaluate new technologies, and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers, installation teams, suppliers, and consultants; resolve technical issues during project execution.
- Prepare documentation and reports, support tenders and proposals, mentor junior engineers, and improve engineering processes and tools.
Qualifications
- Strong solar PV design and engineering skills, including system sizing, layout, and performance analysis.
- Knowledge of electrical and structural standards, local regulations, and safety codes for solar installations.
- Proficiency with PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, or similar solar design and modeling tools.
- Experience in project coordination, technical documentation, cross-functional collaboration, data analysis, feasibility studies, and technical reporting.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Several years of hands-on solar PV project experience; UAE or GCC experience is preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills; ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
- Commitment to sustainable energy practices and ongoing professional development in renewable technologies; driving license.
