Role scope and duties
- Drive design discussions and develop robust, efficient designs for roadmap features.
- Own features from coding through deployment, maintaining responsibility for quality and outcomes.
- Lead development, code reviews, code quality, and test-driven development practices.
- Work with team experts to understand the current architecture and propose improvements.
- Introduce technologies and tools that improve the product.
- Mentor junior associates through knowledge sharing and training; guide engineers to address root causes.
- Help identify team skill gaps and shape future job openings.
- Maintain existing products through timely, high-quality customer fixes.
- Analyze business requirements and designs, assist with technical design, develop unit tests, integrate work, and resolve bugs.
- Plan and prioritize work, follow processes, and report activities to managers.
Technical environment
- Software and web stack includes Java, J2EE, REST APIs, Oracle, Tomcat, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSP.
- Architecture includes scalable, resilient, multilayer client-server systems and cloud architecture.
- Tools and frameworks include RDBMS, Jenkins, AppDynamics, Splunk, Git, Checkmarx, AppScan, and SonarQube.
- Role includes product maintenance and work with support, customers, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 5 to 7 years of software development experience and a bachelor’s degree.
- Strong programming experience in Java/J2EE, microservices, and Spring Boot.
- Experience building, deploying, and maintaining enterprise applications and working with web technologies.
- Warehouse management experience and hands-on applet technical knowledge.
- Strong SQL, stored procedures, and RDBMS concepts.
- Product maintenance experience resolving customer and internal issues in collaboration with support, customers, and stakeholders.
