– Dubai is currently looking for a Sr.

Site Architect to join our growing Supervision team to support recent project appointments in UAE.

The ideal candidate shall be an Architect with a minimum of 12 years of work experience of which 5 years shall be within UAE.

Candidates with onsite experience in high-rise residential projects will be preferred.

The candidate is expected to have excellent communication skills and shall have the ability to work and deliver projects in a collaborative and professional work environment.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Attending weekly progress meetings supporting the Resident Engineer.
  • Chairing technical meetings with the Client, Contractor and Subcontractor and documenting the meetings.
  • Monitoring and reviewing progress of project and quality of work as per the terms of the contract.
  • Attendance or representation as appropriate at all project-related meetings.
  • Liaising with local authorities and utility companies as necessary to obtain construction stage NOC’s and approvals and connections.
  • Reviewing and monitoring the architectural works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents.
  • Reviewing, and processing all architectural & interior design technical submittals.
  • Answering RFIs related to architecture & interior design.
  • Coordinating and supervising all architectural & interior design works.
  • Reviewing contractor’s architectural change order proposals and preparing recommendations for Resident Engineer.
  • Liaison and coordinate with all necessary sub consultants.
  • Reviewing contractors’ claims related to architectural and interior works and preparing recommendations for claims to Resident Engineer.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the contractor’s activities on site with respect to technical and contractual compliance.
  • Adequately respond to all contractor’s letters, communications and claims in a timely manner as per the terms of the contract.
  • Review and approval of as-built drawings guarantees, warranties, maintenance manuals, spare parts and close-out reports.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
  • Total 12 years of work experience, with minimum 5 year experience as Site Architect in High rise residential projects and hospitality projects.
  • Experience in executing high-end interior design projects would be desirable.
  • Knowledge of local construction laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of international and regional construction codes & standards.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Commercial management experience.
  • Understanding of FIDIC contracts.
  • Computer proficiency in use of tools including AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up.
