Role Overview

Supports global cloud revenue recognition activities and partners with Billing Operations, Sales, Deal Desk, FP, and Finance.

Ensures accurate revenue recognition, timely reporting, and compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Review customer contracts for compliance with revenue recognition standards and calculate percentage-of-completion revenue for professional services.
  • Support month- and quarter-end close; prepare journal entries, including SSP allocations.
  • Maintain deferred revenue schedules and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Investigate revenue fluctuations with Billing Operations and Finance.
  • Assist with SOX testing, audits, and audit inquiries; improve processes and provide ad hoc analysis.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and three to five years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Revenue recognition experience is required; ASC 606 experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills and advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • SAP and Salesforce experience are assets; technology, software, or cloud industry experience is preferred.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, proactive mindset, and effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.
