Sr QA/QC Engineer

Job Description:

• Develop and implement QA/QC plans, procedures, and standards for design and construction projects.

• Conduct inspections, audits, and tests to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

• Identify and resolve quality issues, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.

• Monitor contractor and supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality requirements.

• Maintain detailed documentation of QA/QC activities, including quality performance reports, checklists, and certifications.

• Serve as a Project Management Consultant to provide expert advice on quality management strategies.

• Collaborate with project teams to establish quality benchmarks and performance metrics.

• Conduct regular project reviews to assess quality compliance and recommend improvements.

• Provide training and mentorship to project teams on QA/QC best practices and standards.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all QA/QC activities.

• Prepare and present quality reports to stakeholders and senior management.

• Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure quality expectations are met.

• Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and best practices in QA/QC and project management.

• Set quality objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and monitor performance against targets

• Oversee the preparation and approval of quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), method statements, and other QA/QC documentation.

• Drive internal audits, third-party inspections, and client quality assessments.

• Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive actions.

• Ensure all construction and commissioning activities comply with project specifications, standards, and contractual obligations.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related field.

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in QA/QC roles, in quality management within large scale projects.

• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 10005, IEC 17025,etc).

• Familiarity with design processes, construction standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or similar is a plus.
