Role overview
Executive Sales Assistant supporting the VP of Sales at a growing consumer products company.
Supports retail accounts by managing new item listings and buyer communication with major Canadian grocers and select US customers.
Works with the office administration team and collaborates on day-to-day office operations.
Responsibilities
- Submit new item listing forms through Loblaw, Sobeys, and US customer portals, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met.
- Maintain product specifications, case packs, UPCs, pricing, and images across retailer systems and industry registries such as GS1 Canada.
- Follow up with category buyers and assistants on listing status, deal sheets, promotions, and deadlines.
- Manage the VP of Sales' calendar and line review schedules; prepare meetings, presentations, and sell sheets.
- Track listings, promotions, and deductions, and inform operations, logistics, and finance teams.
- Coordinate samples, trade show logistics, and buyer meetings in the Toronto area.
What the employer is looking for
- At least 3 years supporting a sales leader in CPG, food, or grocery retail.
- Hands-on experience with Loblaw and Sobeys new item listing processes.
- US retailer portal experience is an asset.
- GS1 Canada / ECCnet item registration familiarity is an asset.
- Strong Excel skills, attention to detail, professional communication, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle for field days.
Location and work arrangement
- Toronto office four days per week and one day per week in the field for buyer meetings, store visits, and retailer appointments.
- Work location is in person.
Employment and compensation
- Full-time, permanent position; new role.
- Starting salary stated as $60,000, with a listed range of $60,000–$70,000 per year, plus performance bonus and benefits.
- Mileage is reimbursed for field travel.
