SR. PROJECT ENGINEER

About This Role

Job Title: Senior Project Engineer Role Overview The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for leading and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams to deliver infrastructure and civil engineering projects in onshore environments. The role covers the full project life cycle from feasibility through execution, completion, and handover ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with Company standards and procedures.

Qualifications Mandatory

• Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in an Engineering discipline from a recognized university.

Preferred / Added Advantage

• Master’s degree or higher qualification in Engineering or Project Management.
• Membership in a recognized professional engineering or project management institution.

Experience Requirements Mandatory

• Minimum 12 years of experience in:

• Engineering and project management
• Execution of infrastructure and civil engineering projects

• Demonstrated experience in project lifecycle management, from concept through handover.

Preferred

• Experience executing projects within the oil & gas environment.
• Proven experience coordinating engineering activities across multiple disciplines during:

• Feasibility Studies
• Concept Optimization Studies
• FEED (Front End Engineering Design)
• EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation & Construction)

Primary Duties And Responsibilities Project Leadership & Delivery

• Lead and coordinate assigned project teams to provide full project management services for onshore projects from initiation through completion and handover.
• Ensure projects are executed in accordance with approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.

Planning, Cost & Controls

• Prepare, implement, and maintain Project Execution Plans and QHSE Plans for all assigned projects.
• Participate in and monitor:

• Project planning and scheduling
• Cost control and budgeting
• Contract administration
• Progress reporting
• Change management.
• Stage gate and approval processes

Engineering & Technical Coordination

• Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver cost effective and technical sound designs.
• Ensure timely resolution of engineering, design, and technical issues to avoid project delays.

Procurement & Tendering

• Participate in the preparation of tender documentation and technical packages.
• Support the tendering process, including:

• Technical evaluation of bids
• Review of contractor submissions
• Preparation of recommendations for relevant Tender Committees

Risk & Stakeholder Management

• Develop, maintain, and update project risk registers, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, mitigated, and monitored.
• Interface closely with:

• End users
• Government and statutory authorities
• Joint Venture partners and other third party stakeholders

Contract Administration & Claims

• Participate in the evaluation, processing, and resolution of:

• Project variations
• Contractor claims and disputes

Governance & Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the review and development of Company procedures, standards, and guidelines assigned.

People Development

• Mentor and support Qatari Developees by providing effective on the job training and guidance to help them achieve their full professional potential.
