Role summary
Experienced Process Engineer supporting the Process Engineering division.
Design, develop, and optimize process systems for EPC projects, modular skid packages, pressure vessels, and piping systems.
Work involves process engineering and hands-on fabrication environments.
Process engineering and project delivery
- Execute process engineering activities for assigned projects and prepare or review process deliverables, including design bases, philosophies, PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, equipment specifications, control narratives, and operating manuals.
- Perform process calculations for equipment and instrument sizing and specifications.
- Ensure technically accurate deliverables meet scope, budget, schedule, quality procedures, project requirements, international codes, and client-specific standards.
- Provide process input to interdisciplinary design activities and coordinate with vendors and other parties.
- Represent process engineering in design reviews, P&ID reviews, HAZOPs, and client and vendor meetings.
- Support technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews for process equipment.
- Participate in model and 3D design reviews and check process piping routing and layout.
- Monitor milestones, resolve technical queries, and issue deliverables on schedule and within budget.
- Communicate with customers and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
- Support team competence development and improve checklists and internal design guidelines.
Process systems and software
- Process design expertise across upstream and midstream oil and gas facilities, including gas treatment and dehydration, condensate stabilization, crude oil processing, produced water treatment, compression, flare, fuel gas, water injection, and chemical injection systems.
- Process engineering software examples include HYSYS, UniSim, FlareNet, ProMax, ProTreat, HTRI, and PipeSIM.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university.
- 8–10 years of process engineering experience in EPC, oil and gas, or heavy fabrication is preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with pressure vessel and skid package engineering.
- UAE or broader GCC/Middle East project experience is highly preferred.
- Adaptable and able to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
Pay
- AED 4,000–6,000 per month.
