Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sr.
Pre-Sales / Lighting Design Engineer based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.
The Sr.
Pre-Sales / Lighting Design Engineer will be responsible for developing detailed lighting designs, performing lighting calculations, and preparing technical proposals and presentations for clients.
The role includes supporting the sales team with technical pre-sales activities, reviewing project specifications, and recommending suitable lighting solutions and product selections.
The individual will collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to clarify requirements, optimize designs for energy efficiency and regulatory compliance, and ensure timely submission of design packages.
Day-to-day tasks also include preparing BOQs, CAD or BIM layouts, technical documentation, and responding to technical queries during the tender and project execution phases.
Qualifications
- Complete lighting designs in all aspects compliant with relevant local & international standards.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge in lighting design software’s.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge in lighting design standards.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge in products solutions and applications.
- Prepare necessary presentations and lighting drawings.
- Demonstrate knowledge in sustainability & energy efficiency requirements for lighting, prepare necessary LPD reports.
- Prepare lighting design presentations as per design intent required by Client, Architect, ID Designers and end users.
- Maintain Library for product catalogues, lighting standards & product plug-ins.
- Prepare technical compliance and submittals
- Be on top of products / technologies being offered in the market.
- Maintain updated log / register for specified projects, correspondence with clients, consultants, architects, suppliers and sales team.
- Coordinate with Sales Engineer to prepare technical submittal and fulfil customer’s requirement pertaining to engineering and design - ensure that the client’s project requirements are met.
- Prepare of O&M manual and other necessary documents as per the project requirement
- Attend product trainings and technical / soft skills workshop to enhance knowledge
- Coordinate with design team for designated projects.
- Build and foster relationships with lighting designer, ID designers, MEP Consultants & Landscape Architects.
- Work collaboratively with sales engineers and support staff to provide customers with excellent service
- Record and maintain computerized client / customers database
- Respond to technical queries and provide competent and timely support.
Experience
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in lighting Industry
