Role purpose
The merchandiser is part of the sales team and is primarily responsible for maximising on-shelf presence in assigned outlets.
The role may also support in-store sampling and promotions and provide market information to the pre-seller.
Accountabilities
- Visit assigned traditional-trade outlets according to the supervisor’s daily journey plan.
- Merchandise products across outlet access points, shelves, stands, and floor displays; place POS material where applicable.
- Maintain compliance with approved planograms and report non-compliance or deviations from agreed outlet terms.
- Rotate stock using FIFO, remove substandard products, and keep shelf stock clean and fresh.
- Monitor and report competitive activities and provide current market information to support selling opportunities.
- Report the prior day’s activities to the supervisor.
- Participate in sampling or redemption campaigns when required.
- Maintain appropriate personal appearance and professional behaviour under the Frito Lay code of conduct.
Experience and competencies
- Valid driving licence.
- Service-level oriented.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Execution standard.
LTA enforcement.
Journey plan adherence.
