Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC, cooling, and ventilation system design for data center facilities.
• Develop mechanical schematics, equipment layouts, and airflow diagrams using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Integrate Liebert and other Vertiv cooling products into scalable designs.
• Coordinate with electrical, structural, and network engineering teams.
• Conduct thermal load calculations, airflow analysis, and capacity assessments.
• Improve cooling efficiency and reduce energy consumption through data-driven strategies.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, relevant standards, and Vertiv guidelines.
• Perform audits, inspections, and commissioning tests.
• Develop risk mitigation, contingency, and emergency response plans.
• Maintain design documentation, as-built drawings, maintenance manuals, and technical reports.
• Train engineering teams and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; a master's degree is preferred.
• At least 12 years of experience in mechanical design and operations within data center environments.
• In-depth knowledge of Vertiv cooling products, including Liebert CRAC or CRAH units and chilled water systems.
• Proficiency in HVAC design and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Trane TRACE, or Carrier HAP.
• Relevant certifications such as PE, CDCP, or Vertiv product-specific training are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills focused on thermal performance and energy efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex mechanical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
