Sr. Machine Operator

Overview

Job Purpose

• Run process lines and equipment systematically and effectively to achieve production targets, improve line efficiency, and minimize process waste.
• Gather hourly process-control data, conduct quality wall meetings, maintain hygiene and housekeeping, and report food-safety hazards.
• Summarize daily material usage and calculate material, seasoning, and oil efficiency.
• Monitor water, electricity, and gas usage and manage process workers assigned to the station.
• Operate, control, and maintain processing equipment to convert raw materials into finished products in line with KPIs.

Principal Accountabilities

• Make operating decisions that maximize output and yield conversion.
• Repair and maintain processing equipment to maintain line efficiency.
• Stop production in consultation with the Laboratory Technician when production is out of specification.
• Ensure raw materials are available near the line and equipment remains hygienic and operational.
• Report material waste, daily usage, line issues, and health hazards to the appropriate managers.
• Communicate daily issues and activities across shifts and support teamwork and cooperation.
• Support IPS and food-safety audits and implement continual EHS improvements in the assigned area.

Qualifications

• An Industrial Training Institute (ITI) qualification is required, with tertiary background accepted as an alternative for the experience requirement.
• Basic communication skills and a good working attitude are required.
• Candidates must be able to operate process equipment independently.
• At least two years of manufacturing-processing experience is required unless waived in lieu of tertiary background.
