Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Varicent solutions for incentive plans; create performant, maintainable solutions.
• Optimize platform queries and reports; build and extend Varicent ICM data models.
• Create and troubleshoot Presenter and Presenter Adaptive reports; work with Workflow and Webforms.
• Set platform policies and governance for sustainability and availability; investigate complex business issues.
• Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to understand requirements and operating processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field; 8+ years of modern-technology development or implementation experience.
• 5+ years implementing Varicent ICM modules; 2+ years building imports, workflows, calculation logic, reports, and web forms.
• 2+ years creating controls and technical, estimation, and architectural documents; ability to troubleshoot Varicent configurations.
• Programming proficiency in one or more of Python, .NET, Perl, or Java; working knowledge of Visio or Lucidchart.
• Experience with version control, release management, and CI/CD; knowledge of design, refactoring, and unit testing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaborative, and cross-functional skills; experience contributing to Agile teams.

Preferred skills and experience

• ETL, large-volume data handling, mathematical aggregation, and BI/reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or MicroStrategy are preferences.
• AWS services and hands-on AWS application deployment, integration, or support are preferred or advantageous; AWS certifications are a plus.
• Banking, financial services, or other regulated-industry experience is preferred.
