Job summary
- Support, focus and monitor the implantation of the HSE Management System requirements within TAQA Distribution Power Operation and Maintenance through the following:
- Monitor the implementation of the PTW (Safety documents) procedures.
- HSE Risk Management within TAQA Distribution Power Operation & Maintenance Activities.
- Develop and deliver the HSE training materials plans for TAQA Distribution Power employees
General Responsibilities
- **Policy, Procedures, Process and Systems**
- Ensure the compliance of organization’s policy, systems, processes, procedures, and controls in line with group delegation of authority policy so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.
- **Reporting**
- Ensure that all reports are completed timely and comply with the business policies and standards.
- Manage the preparation of periodical management reports and progress reports to keep the business senior management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision-making.
- Comply with organization’s requirements in a timely manner.
Job Specific Responsibilities
- Support & focus on the HSE Governance/ regulations, Incident reporting and investigation.
- Support & focus to improve the implementation of Behavior-Based Safety programs such as Training & Awareness, Communication, and Public Safety.
- Conduct HSE Assurance programs within the operation and maintenance activities (Inspection, Audit).
- Focus and support in the HSE Emergency Management Process.
- Monitor the effective implementation of the HSE-Management System and System Safety Rules within the power activities & operations.
- Monitor the effective implementation of the PTW procedures within power operations.
- Monitor the implementation of the HSE objectives and target plans for the company.
- Conduct Interview for the HSE Competency assessment for Power Operation & Maintenance.
- Support in the HSE Hazard identifications & risk management including the management of change.
- Develop and deliver HSE training, coaching, and awareness to TAQA Distribution power employees.
- Performs other similar or related HSE duties as and when assigned by Sr. Engineer, O&M power.

- Report all HSE and security incidents and work-related injuries.
- Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided at the workplace that supports the interest of HSE, security and welfare.

Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Discipline or equivalent.
- 3 years of relevant working experience
Desired Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Engineering Discipline or equivalent.
- 6 years of relevant working experience
- NEBOSH GC/IGC or Diploma in Safety/HSE or IOSH Managing Safely or any other HSE certifications would be an added advantage.
- OHSAD (Abu Dhabi Public Health Center) Practitioner Certificates .
- ISO Auditor Certification (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc.).
- Certified as a HSE trainer.
- Certified as HSE incident investigator.
