Role overview

The Senior Director, CEMEA Planning Center of Excellence Lead reports to the VP of Planning COE.

Leads regional financial planning strategy and operational excellence, building common practices while representing regional business requirements in unified solutions.

Oversees expense and revenue strategy, driver analysis, quality control, process governance, and analytics.

Essential functions

  • Deliver global transformation initiatives by designing, building, and deploying standardized solutions.
  • Lead regional planning strategies aligned with organizational financial goals and consistent across regions, business units, and corporate functions.
  • Drive global standards and solutions for expense strategy, driver analysis, quality control, and process governance; continuously improve regional planning processes.
  • Partner with regional finance teams and stakeholders to support planning needs and provide data-driven insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Shape and develop systems requirements.
  • Establish quality-control measures and governance frameworks; ensure accuracy and understanding of regional performance indicators, structures, and market drivers.
  • Own broader Planning COE deliverables and projects to drive unified standards across regions and teams.
  • Adapt planning strategies to changing business conditions and organizational priorities, fostering innovation and resilience.
  • Lead and develop a team of four through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and career development; support succession planning and an inclusive, high-performing culture.

Qualifications

  • At least 15 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 12 years with an advanced degree, or 9 years with a PhD.
  • Proven experience leading regional financial planning teams and processes in a large, complex organization.
  • Strong understanding of expense strategy, driver analysis, quality control, and process governance in financial planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including interpreting complex financial data and providing actionable insights.
  • Experience implementing and optimizing planning processes across multiple regions and business units.
  • Experience driving innovation and digital transformation in financial planning processes.

Office expectations

  • At least four days in the office are required; the hiring manager will confirm expectations for those days.
