Role overview

Core work

• Assess current data sources and models, identify gaps, and shape future-state architecture.
• Build pipelines for data marts, warehouses, and reporting; develop dimensional models and automate deployments.
• Create data governance, quality profiling, and reporting frameworks, and support database and cloud migrations.
• Partner with business and data teams to meet data access, processing, transformation, and reporting needs.
• Recommend technologies for scale, prioritize requests, contribute to technical design and code reviews, and document specifications.
• Implement access controls, reduce security risks, establish performance metrics, and improve business processes.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience, including data engineering and architecture.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with Hadoop-related technologies, including HDFS, Spark, Flink, Hive, and Presto.
• Hands-on experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Python.
• Experience with large-scale distributed storage and SQL or NoSQL databases, data warehousing, and data modeling.
• Working experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure; knowledge of Tableau or other BI tools.
