The Opportunity

Permanent hybrid Senior Analyst role on Vale’s Procurement team in Toronto.

Procures materials, equipment, and services while supporting organizational objectives and corporate policy compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead RFP processes and evaluations for internal customers.
  • Conduct cost analysis and complex negotiations to support value and minimize risk.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze data, market trends, and supplier capabilities for actionable insights.
  • Lead strategic and contract management, including change orders, claims, and dispute resolution.
  • Establish contracting strategies and draft risk-mitigating contracts.
  • Incorporate ESG practices and seek the lowest total cost of ownership in procurement.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 6–8 years of work experience.
  • Previous experience in logistics and category management is an asset.

Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems, including SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards.
  • Experience leading RFP processes and cost analysis.
  • Strong data analytics capabilities, including working with large transactional datasets.
  • Strong organizational, communication, stakeholder relationship, and negotiation skills.
