Location and work arrangement

  • This position is on site in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Role overview

Prepare, analyze, and deliver accurate and timely financial statements and disclosures.

Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, and other teams to support compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles, audit activities, and process improvements.

Essential functions

  • Complete Sarbanes-Oxley compliance activities for monthly, quarterly, and annual controls.
  • Conduct financial analysis and reporting, and prepare and review company financial reports.
  • Research complex financial accounting issues under GAAP.
  • Support the annual external financial statement audit by preparing quarterly and annual financial documents.
  • Ensure activities comply with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; an accounting major is preferred.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience.
  • Practical knowledge of technical and/or operational problems; applies business practices to improve efficiency.
  • Provides guidance to less experienced colleagues and solves complex problems.
  • Explains difficult or sensitive information to build consensus and meets near-term targets while planning weekly and monthly.
