Sr. Advisor Data Modernization

Role overview

What you will do

• Translate strategy, operational needs, and stakeholder priorities into scalable data solutions and multiyear delivery plans.
• Design and lead data pipelines, curated datasets, analytical solutions, and reusable assets using Azure Databricks, Python, SQL, Power BI, and related enterprise technologies.
• Establish data engineering, analytics, governance, quality, reconciliation, and documentation practices.
• Lead analytics and automation for power cost optimization, operational performance, variance drivers, and commercial opportunities; deliver actionable recommendations.
• Direct executive and operational dashboards, KPIs, reports, and analytical tools.
• Partner with stakeholders and platform teams on priorities, technical designs, trade-offs, implementation, and solution sustainment.
• Advise on responsible integration of AI-enabled tools, automation agents, and machine learning.
• Mentor Advisors, analysts, and students through coaching, reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Who you are

• University degree in a related discipline and at least 6 years of progressively responsible related experience; candidates without a university degree require 3 additional years of related experience.
• Expert hands-on experience with Azure Databricks or comparable lakehouse/data engineering platforms, with advanced Python and SQL proficiency.
• Advanced Power BI and Microsoft Excel experience, including data modeling, visualization, analytical logic, KPI development, and executive reporting.
• Experience translating business strategy into data architecture, technical requirements, data models, solution designs, reporting logic, and delivery roadmaps.
• Strong knowledge of data quality, governance, lineage, testing, and reconciliation.
• Able to solve complex, ambiguous problems and communicate and build alignment across technical, non-technical, and leadership audiences.

Preferred experience

• Experience with Liquids Pipelines infrastructure and operations, energy management, power accounting, commercial structures, scheduling, budgeting or long-range planning, or operational performance analytics is preferred.
• Experience leading production-grade pipelines, automation, AI or machine learning capabilities, and/or project management, agile delivery, change management, or data product ownership is preferred.

Working conditions

• Typical office environment; minimal travel required.
