1 Year Contract with possible extension

Requirements & Qualifications

  • **Platform Expertise:**
  • Proven track record as a DBA with deep technical knowledge of SQL Server (2019–2022) and PostgreSQL (v12–v16); experience with recent major releases is essential.
  • **GIS Capability:**
  • Advanced proficiency in managing PostGIS extensions is highly desirable to support specialized spatial data workloads.
  • **Performance Tuning:**
  • Expert-level command of database internals, execution plans and optimization techniques for both SQL Server and PostgresSQL database servers
  • **Architectural Resilience:**
  • Demonstrated experience designing and deploying complex High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures (e.g., AlwaysOn, Patroni, or Streaming Replication).
  • **Data Integrity & Recovery:**
  • Comprehensive experience in architecting enterprise backup/restore strategies and managing Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR) scenarios.
  • **Security:**
  • Strong familiarity with enterprise security protocols, encryption standards and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001).
  • **Troubleshooting:**
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to lead L3-level troubleshooting and performance diagnostics.
  • **Professional Certification:**
  • Valid industry certifications are mandatory.
  • **Education:**
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
