Spring Internship – Finance Team
Role Overview
CLS’s finance team is in charge of the money moving in and out of the organization.
An intern with the finance team will get an in-depth look at how money moves through a legal aid organization, learning about expenses – how bills get approved, coded, and paid – and revenue – how the organization gets paid back by its funders.
The intern can expect to have standing tasks, such as logging invoices, and bigger projects to work on.

Required Qualifications
- Interest in nonprofit and/or legal aid work
- Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and comfortable learning new software.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Student majoring in Accounting or Finance
- Location:
- This position is housed in the Denver office.
- Time commitment:
- Part-time, preference for 10+ hours/week but we will work with the interns’ schedule.
- The position is unpaid but is open to receiving other work study funds that are student generated. Students may apply for course credit through their Externship Program.
