We understand you will be relatively new to journalism, as we all have been, but you have big ambitions to become a leading sport journalist right here in Dubai.

You live and breathe sport, understand social media trends, and have a keen eye for creating engaging content that resonates with UAE audiences.

You will help produce compelling sports content across digital platforms, with a particular focus on trending stories, social-first storytelling, and short-form video.

You love being part of a team that is passionate about the mission they are on, knowing that sometimes means irregular hours and long shifts when the big news breaks.

· Monitor global and regional sports trends, breaking news, and social media conversations to identify timely content opportunities.

· Create and publish engaging digital content, including articles, explainers, galleries, and social posts.

· Produce and edit short-form videos for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and X.

· Assist in conceptualising and executing social-first content strategies around major sporting events and viral moments.

· Write sharp, audience-focused headlines and captions designed to maximise reach and engagement.

· Attend sporting events, press conferences, and media opportunities when required.

· Analyse content performance and contribute ideas to improve audience engagement and growth.

· Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Journalism, Media, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field.

· Strong knowledge of international and regional sports, including football, cricket, Formula 1, tennis, and other major sporting events.

· Excellent writing and communication skills in English.

· Strong understanding of social media platforms and emerging digital content trends.

· Basic video shooting and editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, or similar platforms.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom environment and manage multiple deadlines.

· Creative, proactive, and eager to experiment with new storytelling formats.

· Hands-on experience in one of the Middle East's leading newsrooms.

· Exposure to digital journalism, social media strategy, and multimedia storytelling.

· Mentorship from experienced editors and journalists.
