Role Summary
The Sponsorship & Exhibit Sales Manager will be responsible for generating sponsorship and exhibition revenue across GM Events’ conference and exhibition portfolio.
The role requires actively targeting companies, associations, and solution providers to secure sponsorship and exhibition participation.
The ideal candidate should have strong sales capabilities, excellent communication skills, experience in B2B conference sponsorship sales, and the ability to build and manage client relationships while consistently achieving revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sponsorship and exhibition revenue for assigned conferences and events.
- Utilize telephone sales, virtual meetings, emails, written correspondence, and face-to-face meetings to secure sponsors and exhibitors.
- Research and develop a strong pipeline of potential sponsors and exhibitors for each event.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Understand client objectives and tailor sponsorship/exhibition packages accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and sales activities.
- Regularly update and manage the company CRM system.
- Generate sponsorship and exhibition contracts and ensure smooth handover internally after closing.
- Work closely with marketing and production teams to align sponsorship opportunities with event objectives.
- Assist in preparing promotional and sales materials for sponsorship campaigns.
- Maintain strong knowledge of event timelines, deadlines, floor plans, and sponsorship deliverables.
- Attend weekly sales meetings, planning meetings, and pipeline reviews.
- Professionally represent GM Events during client meetings, networking functions, industry events, and exhibitions.
- Support the team in achieving overall departmental and company revenue targets.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience in sponsorship sales, exhibition sales, conference sales, or B2B event sales.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet monthly revenue targets.
- Strong organizational and pipeline management skills.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and commercially focused.
- Experience within conferences, exhibitions is preferred.
