About the Opportunity
We are a private family in Al Furjan seeking a motivated and nurturing final-year Speech-Language Pathology student to support the Arabic language development of our 3-year-old child.
This is a rare hands-on internship that offers direct, real-world experience working one-on-one with a toddler in a warm, supportive home environment.
This role is ideal for a student looking to apply their clinical knowledge before graduation — building a meaningful case study, gaining supervised practical hours, and making a genuine difference in a child’s early development.
What You’ll Do
- Engage the child in structured and play-based activities designed to stimulate Arabic vocabulary, sentence formation, and communication confidence
- Observe and informally assess the child’s current speech and language patterns at the start of the engagement
- Plan and adapt age-appropriate activities session to session based on the child’s progress
- Maintain simple session notes to track milestones and improvements
- Communicate openly with the family after each session with brief progress updates
- Bring creativity, patience, and enthusiasm to every interaction
Who We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a final-year Speech-Language Pathology program (Bachelor’s or Master’s level)
- Native Arabic speaker — Levantine or Khaleeji dialect strongly preferred, as the goal is natural, authentic Arabic immersion
- Genuine passion for early childhood development and pediatric speech
- Warm, patient, and playful — comfortable getting on the floor and making learning fun
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Prior experience with young children (babysitting, tutoring, clinical placements) is a plus
