Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Specification Specialist role based in Dubai.
The Specification Specialist will work closely with architects, interior designers, and developers to understand project requirements and translate them into accurate product specifications for wall and floor coverings.
Daily responsibilities include preparing and reviewing specification documents, product schedules, and technical submittals; coordinating with internal design, production, and sales teams; and ensuring that specified solutions meet performance, budget, sustainability, and regulatory requirements.
The role involves providing technical product guidance, presenting solutions to clients, supporting mock-ups and sample approvals, and following up on projects through tender, award, and installation stages.
The Specification Specialist will also maintain up-to-date knowledge of BSH’s product portfolio, industry standards, and competitive offerings to support informed decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong technical understanding of wall and floor covering products (e.g., carpets, tiles, LVT, wallcoverings) and their applications in hospitality, commercial, and residential projects.
- Experience in preparing detailed project specifications, product schedules, and technical submittals for architects, interior designers, and developers.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, BOQs, and project documentation, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and presentation skills to explain technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven capability to coordinate with cross-functional teams (sales, design, production, logistics) and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Familiarity with sustainability standards (e.g., LEED) and relevant building codes or industry standards in the UAE and GCC is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with CAD or specification software is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; relevant industry certifications are beneficial.
