Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Specification Manager role based in Dubai.
The Specification Manager will build and maintain relationships with architects, interior designers, consultants, and developers to promote Aurea Surfaces’ product portfolio and secure project specifications.
Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and delivering product presentations, providing technical guidance on materials and applications, and supporting clients with samples, mock-ups, and documentation.
The role involves tracking and managing project pipelines from early design stages through tender and execution, coordinating closely with sales and operations teams to ensure smooth project handover.
The Specification Manager will also monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory requirements to help position Aurea Surfaces as a preferred sustainable surface solution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in specification sales or project-based business development, ideally within building materials, surfaces, or related construction products.
- Strong relationship-building skills with architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, and developers in the UAE or GCC region.
- Solid understanding of project lifecycles, tender processes, and specification practices in the construction and design industry.
- Ability to deliver clear, compelling technical and design-focused presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with sustainable building practices, green certifications, and health-focused materials is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English; additional regional languages are an asset.
- High level of organization, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Comfort working on-site and visiting client offices, showrooms, and project sites across Dubai and the wider region as needed.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, collaborative work practices and a strong customer-service mindset.
