Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for architectural panels, structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and related scopes of work.
• Review construction plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze project requirements.
• Obtain, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Develop material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
• Identify project requirements, exclusions, and potential estimating risks.
• Coordinate with the Estimating, Project Management, and Operations teams.
• Assist in preparing competitive and accurate bid proposals.
• Maintain organized estimating documentation and pricing records.
• Follow up with vendors and subcontractors to ensure complete and timely pricing.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits when required.
• Support multiple estimates and bid deadlines simultaneously.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction estimating experience preferred.
• Experience with architectural panels, structural steel, miscellaneous metals, or specialty construction is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, labor, and installation methods.
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs and preparing cost estimates.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, estimators, project managers, and clients.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with estimating/takeoff software is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
