Specialty & Enrichment Instructor

Qualifications:

• ● Must be at least 17 years of age; 18 or older preferred
• ● High School Diploma or GED preferred
• ● Minimum of 12 months of related specialty experience for Specialty Instructor I or 24 months for Specialty Instructor II
• ● Experience working with children and leading group activities
• ● Experience with cooking, baking, arts and crafts, painting, LEGO/building activities, STEM, sewing, or other enrichment programming preferred
• ● Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities
• ● Creative and comfortable helping develop new program ideas
• ● Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• ● Ability to actively supervise groups of children and maintain a safe program environment
• ● Ability to understand, follow, and consistently enforce YMCA policies, safety procedures, and program expectations
• ● Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within the first 30 days of employment
• ● Must successfully complete required background screening, including criminal history and any other pre-employment requirements established by the YMCA
• Pay Rate: $15.00-$19.00/hour
