Job Title: Specialist QAQC Engineer

• KBR is growing its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for an exciting, high profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi.
• The ADNOC PMC project role would be based initially in Client or Contractors Office in Abu Dhabi and later move to Fabrication Yard for the EPC phase.
• Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance (QA)

• Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in line with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Prepare and review quality plans, procedures, inspection test plans (ITPs), and method statements.
• Ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct internal audits and assist in external audits and certification processes.
• Promote a quality culture and continuous improvement within the organization.

• Quality Control (QC)

• Monitor and inspect ongoing work to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Review and approve material submittals and ensure conformity with project requirements.
• Conduct inspections, tests, and verifications at various project stages.
• Identify non-conformities and ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented.
• Maintain accurate inspection and test records.

• Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare QA/QC reports, inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and audit findings.
• Maintain proper documentation and records in compliance with QMS requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure proper documentation flow and approvals.

• Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams regarding quality-related matters.
• Attend project meetings and provide updates on quality performance.
• Support engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure quality compliance.

• Risk & Compliance Management

• Identify quality risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental (HSE), and regulatory standards.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant discipline).
• Minimum 15-120+ years of experience in QA/QC roles (industry-dependent).
• Experience in construction, oil & gas, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards and regulations.

• Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to audit, inspect, and enforce quality compliance.
• Familiarity with QA/QC tools, testing methods, and inspection procedures.
• Certifications (Preferred)
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent
• NDT certifications (if applicable)
• Membership in recognized engineering bodies (e.g., ASQ, PMI)
• ISO 45001).
• Expertise in risk assessment techniques (HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies, etc.).
• Incident investigation and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence and drive safety culture.
