Specialist - Production Control (Industrial Engineering)

Position summary

Production and material handling

• Analyze material delivery systems and develop standards to improve associate and equipment utilization, productivity, and efficiency.
• Use industry benchmarks to support recommendations and assumptions.
• Design value-added warehouse processes and provide ROI and needs analysis for material-handling equipment.
• Maintain material-handling databases and troubleshoot current systems.

Purchasing, inventory, and administration

• Assist with department budgets and coordinate expenses; order materials and equipment through cost analysis, approvals, purchase requests, follow-up, and SAP data entry.
• Coordinate inventory and prepare supplier downtime chargeback claims and related records.
• Prepare communication-to-pay forms, check requests, reimbursements, and travel expense reports.

Systems and safety

• Administer and comply with Business Management System, Environmental Management System, and Safety Management System requirements.
• When assigned, handle hazardous waste in compliance with RCRA regulations; relevant training will be provided.

Education, experience, and skills

• A degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering is desired.
• 0–10 years of job-related experience is preferred; manufacturing experience is desired.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are listed; SAP is desired.

Schedule and travel

• Occasional domestic or foreign travel may be required.
• Working hours may include weekends, holidays, and off shifts; on-call duty or overtime may be required.
