Position Overview

Ensure asset and maintenance data is complete, accurate, and integrated into enterprise systems for capital-project handover to Operations.

Prepare and validate equipment data, BOMs, and maintenance structures in SAP ERP and related systems.

Report to the Capital Projects Information Management and Digital Project Delivery team and support operational readiness through data governance and handover execution.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead asset and maintenance data preparation and validation for handover to Operations.
  • Load properly structured equipment, functional locations, and asset hierarchies into SAP ERP.
  • Develop and validate BOMs, spare-parts lists, and maintenance plans.
  • Capture and verify asset data with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
  • Define data standards, templates, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance teams on readiness and operational alignment.
  • Support data migration, integration, and validation across project and enterprise systems.
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation and data deliverables during project closeout and turnover.
  • Improve asset data management processes for reliability, maintainability, and data integrity.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in asset data management, maintenance systems, or capital projects environments.
  • Strong SAP ERP knowledge, including asset structures and BOMs; PM/MM modules are preferred.
  • Experience with project-to-operations handover and system data readiness.
  • Strong attention to detail, data validation, and quality-control capabilities.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and operations teams.

Desired Qualities

  • Experience in mining, energy, chemicals, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Familiarity with commissioning, equipment data books, and turnover packages.
  • Experience with data governance frameworks and digital project delivery tools.
  • Understanding of reliability and maintenance strategies, including RCM and preventive maintenance.
