Specialist Anaesthesiologist

Overview

1. Preoperative Care

• Conduct detailed patient evaluations (medical history, physical examination, risk assessment)
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop individualized anaesthesia plans
• Obtain informed consent for anaesthesia

2. Intraoperative Management

• Administer general, regional, or local anaesthesia
• Monitor vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, etc.)
• Adjust anaesthesia levels as needed during procedures
• Manage and respond to emergencies

3. Postoperative Care

• Oversee patient recovery from anaesthesia
• Manage pain control and post-operative complications
• Monitor patients in recovery units (PACU/ICU if required)

4. Clinical Collaboration

• Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions
• Support emergency and trauma cases when required

5. Safety & Compliance

• Follow UAE healthcare regulations and hospital policies
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensure infection control and patient safety standards

Qualifications & Requirements

• **Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent)**
• **Postgraduate qualification**
• (MD/DNB/DA or equivalent in Anaesthesiology)
• Minimum
• 3–5 years of experience
• as a Specialist Anaesthesiologist
• BLS/ACLS certification (mandatory)
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience in ICU, pain management, or cardiac anaesthesia
• Ability to handle high-pressure emergency situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Working Conditions

• Hospital or surgical center environment
• Rotational shifts, including nights and weekends
• On-call duties may be required
