Space Operations Training Specialist

Qualifications:

• Required:
• An active TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility is required, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting space operations.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting orbital warfare-specific missions and/or 3 years of experience supporting space system testing, operational test, developmental test, or test and evaluation activities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Orbital mechanics, Space mission planning, Department of Defense test and evaluation processes and standards
• Experience developing, maintaining, and delivering technical training programs and curriculum.
• Experience developing lesson plans, task qualification programs, examinations, and training materials.
• Experience facilitating classroom and hands-on technical training environments.
• Experience using modeling and simulation tools such as STK, FreeFlyer, or similar space analysis software.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Desired Qualifications:
• 5+ years working DoD satellite operations training.
• Certified DoD trainer specialized in space systems.
• Microsoft Suite to include Access and Excel
• B.S. in related field. Additional education and/or certifications in lieu of experience will be considered.
• Scheduled Weekly Hours:
• 40hrs
• Work Environment:
• Location: On-site at Schriever SFB, CO
• Travel Requirements: Minimal (<20%)
• Working Hours: Standard
• Basic Compensation:
• $120,000 - $130,000
• This range is for Colorado only.
• The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
