Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and menu planning.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of kitchen staff, ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Maintain quality control by ensuring all dishes meet the club’s standards for taste, temperature, presentation, and consistency.
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage food orders, and ensure cost-effective storage and use of ingredients.
  • Collaborate on seasonal menus, special event dishes, and new recipe development to enhance the club’s culinary offerings.
  • Uphold sanitation and safety standards by maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and ensuring adherence to health regulations.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to promote skill development and professional growth.
  • Assist with portion control, cost management, and recipe adjustments to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Address and resolve any issues that arise in the kitchen, including member feedback and equipment concerns.
  • Help develop and implement procedures to improve kitchen operations and ensure a high-quality dining experience.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar position in a high-end dining or club environment.
  • Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with a commitment to fostering a positive, productive work environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting, handling multiple responsibilities with poise.
  • Creativity and attention to detail, with a passion for developing unique dishes and refining existing recipes.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing inventory, scheduling, and time efficiently.
  • Flexible schedule, with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Pay Range: $48,000 - $60,000 per year
