Sourcing Specialist
Role Overview
The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting and executing sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories and steel and fabricated commodities.
This role partners with engineering, operations, supply chain, and finance to support cost reduction initiatives, manage supplier performance, and ensure continuity of supply across assigned spend categories.
The position requires solid analytical skills, developing negotiation capabilities, and the ability to work cross functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management , Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
- Certifications: APICS, CPSM, CSCP, or similar professional certification (or progress toward certification)
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles, with exposure to indirect spend and/or steel or fabrication categories
- Experience sourcing steel products (plate, sheet, tube, structural) or fabricated components
- Exposure to working with domestic or regional steel suppliers or service centers
- Working knowledge of steel markets, fabrication processes, or manufacturing supply chains
- Experience supporting negotiations and managing supplier relationships
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in spend analysis or cost comparisons
- Proficiency with ERP and sourcing tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, Coupa or similar)
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Understanding of the full procure to pay lifecycle
- Analytical and data driven decision making
- Developing negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
